National Walk Day 2024

Get Ireland Walking's fifth annual National Walking Day takes place on Sunday 29th September this year; as part of European Week of Sport.

It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the benefits of walking for both well-being and physical health and for everyone to celebrate the outdoors and #WalkHikeRunPushRoll. 

Get Ireland Walking is asking people to celebrate National Walking Day across Ireland by participating in at least one of our themes during our walking week of celebrations starting Monday 23rd September: -

• Monday, 23rd September - Mindful Walking day
• Tuesday, 24th September - Diversity, Equality & Inclusivity day
• Wednesday, 25th September - Access for All day
• Thursday, 26th September - Schools Active Travel day
• Friday, 27th September - Workplace Walking day
• Saturday,28th September - Happy Hiking day
• Sunday, 29th September - National Walk Day 2024
