Offaly Sports Partnership would like to extend our congratulations to the following sports people from Offaly on their recent Junior selection for the World Archery Youth Championships being held in Limerick in July: -
Corey Eady
Corey is an 18 year old archer from Edenderry who shoots for Millenium Archers.
With 10 years experience, he has previously shot in SIFA and IFAF, 3D and field archery competitions, allowing him to compete across Europe in countries like France, Scotland, Wales, Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary. He has had the privilege of participating in European and World-level competitions, including a second-place finish in the "World Bowhunter Championships" in Italy in 2017.
While Corey used to shoot "barebow", he currently competes in "compound" and will be shooting compound at World Archery Youth Championships in Limerick. He says,
"my goal is to absorb as much as I can from this upcoming competition and gain an international ranking."
Olivia Eady
Olivia is an 18 year old archer from Edenderry who shoots for Millenium Archers. With nine years experience, she typically shoots 3D and field archery; however has had the privilege of winning numerous IFAA competitions like the World Bowhunter Championship and the European Bowhunter Championship.
For the past two years, she has been shooting for Millennium Archers; however due to an injury has had to switch from "barebow" to "compound". Olivia says that,
"representing Ireland at the Youth World Championship in Limerick is a great opportunity for me to learn from the competition, aim for a top 10 placement, and connect with fellow archers from different countries."
